As requested here is the homework tasks I gave out on Friday. Instead of a blogging task you must create a poster based on either your Confirmation Saint or a Spirit-filled person in your life. The poster must include an image, photo or drawing of your person, a brief history of their life and the ways in which this person uses the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. The Gifts are Wonder and Awe, Right Judgement, Understanding, Courage, Wisdom, Reverence and Knowledge.
Grade 6 Confirmation Candidates also need to complete their flag as well.
Maths (30mins)
Complete 3 Khan Academy activities under ‘Up Next for You’. Record the activity names in your homework book, as well as a reflection. Mastery challenges do not count towards your three activities, but should be completed if available.
After completing your activities, use your remaining Maths time to practice basic number facts, using your own strategies.

Reading (20mins/day)
Read for at least 20 minutes 4 times per week. Read conscientiously for 20 minutes at least four times this week. Your reading can include: novels, poetry books, lit circles texts, scripture, magazines or reading aloud with Mum or Dad. Record the title of the text in your diary each night and have it signed by a parent once a week.
Lit Circles (20 minutes)
Read the allocated pages of your text and complete the task associated with your role.
Spelling (20 minutes)
Using this week’s spelling words from your spelling booklet, complete at least two activities from different categories (Pattern, Meaning or Practice). When you have completed the activity, put a cross in the corresponding box in your spelling booklet. Each week you should complete a new activity until all have been crossed out.
